Rosh Hashanah 5787
Meet us at the river.
Shofar, Tashlich and a L’chaim on the banks of the Rappahannock. Free, outdoors, and open to everyone.
At the river
On the second day of Rosh Hashanah we walk down to the water, sound the shofar in the open air, and start the year together.
The Shofar
The ram’s horn sounded outdoors, over moving water. If you hear one thing this Rosh Hashanah, hear this.
Tashlich
An ancient custom: come down to living water, say the verses together, and let the year’s regrets go with the current.
A L’chaim
A toast to the year ahead, and time to catch up with neighbors you may not have seen in a while.
Everyone is welcome
No charge, no membership, no background in any of this required. Bring the kids, bring a friend, and meet us on the grass by the river.
